Home Energy Solutions of the Triad, LLC is a fully certified home performance contractor based in the Triad Region of North Carolina who specializes in residential building science and applies the concepts of “efficiency first” and “house-as-a-system” solutions to save your home’s energy. We accomplish this by providing full comprehensive energy assessments in your home and offering customized low-cost improvements to save you energy.

What is "efficiency first"?

Contrary to your average home improvement company, we don’t believe that you have to break the bank and spend thousands to make your home more energy efficient. We believe that it is important to analyze how long it will take for you to realize a full payback on the efficiency investments you make. Instead, we provide solutions that cost you less, and in turn, create a quicker return on your investment. Almost without fail, we are able to provide a solution to your energy loss for pennies on the dollar compared to our competitors.

What is "House-as-a-System"?

Until fairly recently, designers and builders considered each part of a house – foundation, walls, roof, windows and doors, plumbing and electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems – independently. In actuality, with further research, building scientists found that each part of the house is related to all other parts, and making a change in one place causes an effect somewhere else.

There are many forces at work in a house: structural loading, the effects of wind and weather and flows of moisture, heat and air. These must be kept in the right balance. The overall comfort, durability and energy efficiency of a house depends on how well the system works.
